Understand what the numbers can—and cannot—tell you
Recorded statistics, forecasts, bookmaker quotes and optional AI interpretations are different kinds of information. Check the evidence and freshness before comparing them.
Verified participation
Player coverage uses completed-game participation, not only a seed list. Roster membership alone does not prove an appearance.
Transparent ranking tiers
Established and provisional box-score ratings are distinct from participation-only ranks. No individual blocking or coverage grade is invented.
Quote-specific evaluation
Event, market, side, bookmaker, line, price and source time must agree. A missing quote or expired result can correctly remain PASS.
Forecast uncertainty
Simulation components have separate assumptions and budgets. More draws or a confident AI explanation do not prove calibration or guarantee an outcome.
Useful analysis explains its limits
The game engine combines team information, contextual adjustments, market-aware components and distribution calculations. It is not accurate to call every request 10,000 full play-by-play simulations, or to claim every displayed forecast is independent of market inputs.
Our educational guides use labeled hypothetical examples. They are not independently peer-reviewed studies or evidence of guaranteed profitability. Read the methodology to distinguish source data, implemented rules and claims that would require a separate held-out study.
Small samples, shrinkage and the meaning of a provisional ranking
Why a player can be included after an appearance without receiving an established performance grade.
